The Salem Boys Cross Country Team wrapped up the 2017 season with a 20th place finish in the State Championships on Saturday with 437 points.  After multiple lightning delays, the race went off in the rain and the mud at Michigan International Speedway nearly 90 minutes after originally scheduled.

All seven runners for the Rocks ran tremendous races, led by senior Ryan Exell (90th) in a time of 16:31.  He was followed by a tight pack of senior Andrew Beyer (16:42), junior Christo Jeffers (16:44), senior Nolan Teodori (16:59), junior Shane McKimmy (17:00), sophomore Bryce Paine (17:15), and senior Jacob Vick (17:20).
