Salem Rocks Sr. Captain Megan Finkbeiner has committed to play Varsity Lacrosse for the Alma College Scots.

Megan, in her 4th year on the varsity roster for the Rocks, is excited for the opportunity and is looking forward to her new experiences at Alma. Megan will study in the pre-law curriculum and hopes someday to practice law as an advocate for those with disabilities in our community.

In addition to her 3 previous varsity letters, Megan has been honored as a multi-time recipient of the KLAA Scholar Athlete Award, the Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association First Team Scholar Athlete Award, and All-State Honorable Mention. She is also a member of the first lacrosse team in the Plymouth Canton School District to win a Conference Championship, and has been honored by her teammates with the Team Spirit Award.

Dave Medley, Megan’s Coach for all of her 4 years on varsity, praised her by saying “Megan exemplifies the saying ‘Rock Solid’, she brings her all to every game and every game situation. There were several schools interested in signing her based on just observing her toughness displayed in game situations. Alma College can be proud that they have added her to their roster, I know the Scots can lean on her when the going gets tough.”
