Coach Dave Gerlach’s Comments: “Today was a beautiful day for racing at Willow Metropark and our girls did not disappoint. The varsity lead by Freshman Reagan Justice seized the opportunity and ran terrific with a 1-7 spread of only 31 seconds and placing 5 in the top 10. 9 of 10 Varsity runners medaled. The JV was even more impressive taking the first 7 spots and 9 of 10. Junior Maddie Grant was the winner of the JV race. The girls ran terrific today with being eager to get out and finally race when it means something. The depth that this team has this year is incredible. We have around 14 girls fighting for the top 7 spots and that intersquad competition is going to push each runner up the line. It makes for an exciting 2017 season.”
