This week Josh Hall will be featured in our student-athlete spotlights! He is a Salem bowler and is currently in the middle of his final season as a Rock. Josh has enjoyed being able to take a leadership role this year on the team as captain. As a team, the Rocks hope to win states again after their victory last year. Winning the 2017 State Championship was Josh’s favorite memory as a Salem bowler. He personally wants to finish with the highest average in the KLAA. Josh expects their team to develop a lot this year and become stronger. They have two returning varsity bowlers, along with three new freshmen on the team. Their toughest challenge this season is handling the pressure in tight situations and staying strong as a team. Josh has been bowling for 12 years and doesn’t want this to be his last. He plans to bowl in college and hopes to bowl professionally on the tour in the future. Josh’s favorite thing about Salem Athletics is the high spirited student-athletes and faculty. The most important lesson that bowling has taught Josh is that anything is possible and that you should always do your best even when nobody’s watching. Good luck to the Rocks throughout the rest of their season!
