Good Afternoon, Salem Rocks!

This email is for ALL parents and students attending Salem High School in the 2019-20 school year.  Below are several important reminders and fall sports updates.  

Athlete Registration:  Athletes must register through arbiter athlete and update their physical before they participate.  Reminder all physicals must be dated after April 15, 2019. Please go to the following page to register – https://salemathletics.com/athlete-registration/

Team Sports Online Stores:  Below are two online stores for students and parents to order Salem Gear from.  You will be able to pick these up at Student Registration in August.

Social Media/Website:  We often get the question, “What is the best way to stay updated on schedule changes and news from the athletic department?”  The best way is to follow us on social media, @SalemHSRocks on Twitter and Salem Rocks Athletic Department on Facebook.  We also post almost everything you need to know on our website, www.SalemAthletics.com.  For specific team information regarding practices, etc, you will want to see if the team has its own social media account such as Facebook and Instagram.

 

Spectator Passes:  Parents and students can save money by purchasing an annual pass.  These passes will be available at student registration in August. If you purchase these online through Revtrak, you’ll need to show a receipt of payment when you pick up your pass.  

Family Passes – $150.00

Student Passes – $20.00

   

Parent Meeting:  Please join me for a parent meeting on Tuesday, August 20th, 5:30pm – 6:30pm for a parent meeting for ALL sports in the Salem Auditorium.  We will discuss topics pertinent to all teams, such as academics, sportsmanship, discipline, and other important subjects. 

 

Pay to Participate:  There is a 1 time fee of $385.00 to be a member of a sports team.  Once your son or daughter makes a team please visit https://pccsk12.revtrak.net/  https://salemathletics.com/athlete-registration/.  Please note that this fee is waived for students who receive free or reduced-price lunch.  You must have applied for free or reduced lunch to have the fee waived. A new application is required for each school year.

Freshman – Friday, August 23rd (7:30am – 11:30am)

Homecoming Game – Friday, October 11th

Homecoming Dance – Saturday, October 12th

 

Last, please allow me to take a moment to thank you, our parents, for everything that you do for our students and for Salem High School.  Thank you for the years of driving your kids to practice, paying the various fees, attending games in the heat, rain, and sideways sleet, and nursing bloody noses and bruised egos.  Without you, the parents, there would be no interscholastic athletics programs.
