Rocks News · Statement from Athletic Offices regarding practices/events with COVID-19.

P-CEP Families and Students,

The Governor’s office, in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), issued Community Mitigation Strategies for slowing down the spread of COVID-19. In line with these guidelines, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will be postponing or canceling large gatherings and events with more than 100 people present. The district has made the decision to follow this guideline as it relates to our large after-school and extracurricular events between now through Spring Break (April 10). We will reassess for future events at a later time.

The MHSAA this morning released its plans for state competitions this weekend. Please stay updated with for the most up to date information regarding athletics.

The 8th Grade Extravaganza on March 17 will be postponed, and all upcoming banquets with more than 100 people present will have to be postponed as well. P-CEP Assistant Principals for Athletics and Activities will communicate any other additional competitions/contests that are canceled with head coaches/directors.

Girls soccer, softball, baseball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, boys golf, girls tennis, band and winter guard events will be on as scheduled, but will NOT allow any spectators/parents to attend upcoming contests.

Boys/girls track schedules will be modified accordingly by administration and then communicated by head coaches. There will be no track and field practices on Thursday, March 12.

Student safety and well-being remains the number one priority of Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. Thanks for your continued support of athletics and activities at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park.
