On Wednesday, May 15th, the Salem Girls Track & Field JV athletes took on their JV counterparts at Canton, Plymouth, and the three Livonia schools (Stevenson, Franklin, & Churchill) in the PCCS-LPS Challenge. The Salem girls took first place in this event, earning 181.3 points, nearly doubling the points of second-place Stevenson (93). Congratulations to all our athletes for a job well done!

The following athletes won medals at the meet:

> Madison Brydie won the 100m dash (13.48)
> Micah Smith (92’ 0”) and Hannah Koester (89’ 8”) placed 1st & 2nd in the discus throw
> Brooke Ryan (29.12) won the 200m dash
> Salem swept the 3200m relay, with Charlotte Tabor-Sarah Griffiths-Claudia Shuler-Ava Hughes first (11:08.10) and Anna Paine-Samantha Rousseau-Kylie Machacek-Iris Ding second (11:40.82)
> In the 1600m run, Anna Kubinski was 1st (5:55.30) and Grace Landon 2nd (5:56.60)
> The 4×100 relay of Madison Brydie-Camryn Faux-Lauren Binsfeld-Kennedy Butler was 2nd (55.06)
> Claudia Shuler was second in the 3200m run (14:11.48)
> Danielle Cranston won the 300m hurdles with a time of 55.99

Nest up for the Rocks is the Division 1 Regional Meet at the PCEP Varsity Stadium on Friday, May 17th.
